Football Analyst Chris Sutton Faces Off Against Singer Murs in Top Flight Predictions
Arsenal's ten-match winning run came to an end by Sunderland prior to the global break, however can the English top division frontrunners bounce back against local foes Tottenham this Sunday?
"{I feel like Arsenal are miles ahead of Tottenham currently but Spurs boss Thomas Frank will have a plan for this game," remarked football expert Chris Sutton.
"Frank will attempt to nullify Arsenal, who have not always been at their scintillating finest this season - but Mikel Arteta's team usually still find a way to win."
Sutton is forecasting results for all 380 Premier League games this term, against AI, fans and a variety of guests.
In week 12, he faces performer Olly Murs, who is a Manchester United supporter.
Murs' new record, the new release, is out on the weekend.
Soccer and Family Life
Olly is a skilled footballer as well as a successful artist and has been a star of several Soccer Aid matches over time - but he is not planning a serious return as a footballer.
"{I actually played in a charity game the other evening for a mate of mine," he said. "The team was trailing 3-1 when I was substituted in the 60th minute, and they went on to win 4-3, so you can read into that what you will!
"I continue to love football, but I hurt my knee a few years ago and it still hasn't fully recovered. I wish I could play more but the uncertainty of the sport means it's too risky for me in my career to do it properly again.
"Additionally I am 41 now, and we are not all Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very content not playing football and I am preparing for the time that my daughter or boy decides to play instead."
The singer and his spouse his partner have a young family, Madison and their son, and he is ready to follow in his father's footsteps by taking on the role of their coach.
"I will not force football on our children but I've already told Amelia that if they happen to get the bug for it then I will have to go and get my manager qualifications - and I will probably be coaching their weekend football side," he added.
"I observed my relatives play a lot, and I really got into it, and I clearly was involved with a football club for a while too.
"My father coached with us when I was a kid, which is probably where I inherited it. He managed our side for two or three seasons and had great fun with it. That could be the next step for me as well, and I am looking forward to it!"
Top Division Forecasts
Weekend, 22 November
- Turf Moor, 12:30 GMT
The Blues might have to be patient for Cole Palmer's return from injury but their offense is now stronger with Joao Pedro and Liam Delap both back fit.
In my opinion this game will be fairly tight, however. Burnley are well organised and their only home defeats so far have been against Liverpool and Arsenal.
This smells of a one-all draw to me, but I am in fact going to choose Chelsea to win narrowly for what would be their third league win in a row.
Sutton's prediction: 1-2
Olly's pick: The Blues will be superior. 1-3
AI's prediction: 0-2
- Vitality Stadium, 15:00 GMT
The Cherries have lost their past two games - albeit both of them were away - but they got thoroughly beaten by Villa last time out which shocked me.
In contrast, the Hammers secured two in a row before the hiatus and, although both of those games were at their stadium, they do look competitive again.
The Hammers' only away victory this campaign came at Nottingham Forest in the summer, when their boss Nuno was previously that team's coach.
So, what on earth do I go with here - can West Ham extending their streak under their manager, or Bournemouth bouncing back?
I will choose the Cherries, because I think what happened against Villa was a blip.
Sutton's forecast: 2-0
The guest's outlook: Bournemouth are performing strongly but West Ham have picked up under their boss. 2-2
The algorithm's prediction: 1-1
- Amex Stadium, 15:00 GMT
The Bees were considered one of the frontrunners for the drop before the campaign began, but they have impressed a several people under their manager and are in good form with three in their past four matches.
My son advised me to get Brentford striker Thiago in my Fantasy Football team a few weeks back and, guess what, I didn't listen.
The forward will probably score again on Saturday but I am nonetheless not going to select him or back Brentford at Amex Stadium.
They have not had much success on the road this term, and the Seagulls are consistently strong at home. Brentford will try to hit them on the break but I feel the home manager's team carry much more of a danger.
Sutton's forecast: 2-1
Olly's view: It could be one of those games where you think there is going to be a lot of goals but it actually turns out to be rather tight. 1-1
The computer's prediction: 2-1
- Craven Cottage, 15:00 GMT
This is a massive fixture for Fulham, who have suffered defeat in five of their past six matches.
They have got plenty of quality in their squad but it still feels like they could be dragged into a relegation fight.
As for the Black Cats, well they are the unexpected success of the top flight season so far.
The away side's performance in the 2-2 draw with Arsenal last time out was superb. We've not witnessed any other team rough up the Gunners like that this term, and they were fully competitive for them.
The sensible thing to do to back the visitors here, because they are obviously able of roughing Fulham up too and, the last time they were in this part of London, they beat the Blues at the end of October.
But I am not choose that. Instead, I really need to carry on opposing Sunderland with my forecasts. I am claiming a lot of responsibility for their positive outcomes because they evidently love to prove me wrong.
Looking at the home side's at Craven Cottage record, the only side they have lost to is the league leaders. Their manager's team will be extremely eager for a good result, so I am going to predict they will secure three much-needed points.
Sutton's prediction: 1-0
The guest's prediction: I know Sunderland are doing well and also that the hosts are on a bad run... but Fulham have nonetheless been decent at Craven Cottage this campaign. 2-0
The algorithm's prediction: 2-0
- Anfield, 15:00 GMT
This is a hard fixture to predict. Liverpool have lost seven of their past 10 games in every tournament, but could they be among the teams who profit from the {international break|
