Shock as Renowned South African DJ Shot Dead in the Heart of Johannesburg.
A popular South African media personality and entertainer has been shot dead in the country's largest city Johannesburg, triggering widespread grief across a nation struggling with persistent crime.
Warrick Stock, popularly known as DJ Warras, was gunned down in the downtown area on Tuesday afternoon.
Authorities reported the forty-year-old presenter was accosted by three suspects, with one opened fire on him before running away.
The motive behind the shooting has not been established and no suspects have been apprehended have taken place, according to authorities.

Police said that Stock was ambushed as he was leaving a location near the Carlton Centre.
He had spent several hours at the building managing the implementation of security systems, which had been controversially occupied by unidentified individuals, according to reports.
"It is alleged the man was confronted by three unidentified men after he parked his car, and they began shooting at him before escaping on foot," a police statement confirmed.
Surveillance tape reportedly depicted a suspect with dreadlocks and wearing what appeared to be a security uniform opening fire on Stock before fleeing.
The DJ attempted to flee after he was shot but fell down a short distance away.
Police added that Stock had an weapon on his person and it was not a robbery during the assault.

"Evidence suggests they walked a long distance after the shooting, and officers have been attempting to locate them to establish their whereabouts," remarked an authority figure.
